Scrabble is the classic word game where you build words on a 15×15 board to score the most points. This guide covers the essentials so you can start playing online today.
The board and tiles
Each player has a rack of 7 tiles. The board has premium squares that multiply a letter (double/triple letter) or a whole word (double/triple word). The first word must cross the centre square.
How scoring works
Each letter is worth points by frequency: common ones (A, E, O, S) are worth 1, rare ones (Q, Z, X) far more. Using all 7 tiles in a single play (a bingo) scores 50 bonus points.
